Welding
In our 100% in person Welding course for ages 14+ we provide foundational skills in metal fabrication, safety, and industry-standard techniques, preparing students for entry-level jobs or advanced training.
Intro to Welding
This course is taught 100% in-person and in hands-on methods.
Key Curriculum Components:
Safety Procedures: Comprehensive training on PPE, fume extraction, fire prevention, and equipment setup.
Welding Processes:
GMAW (MIG): Setup and operation for welding various metal thicknesses.
SMAW (Stick): Theory, electrode selection, and welding in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions.
GTAW (TIG): Introduction to precision welding techniques.
Cutting and Fabrication: Oxy-fuel cutting, layout techniques, and metal fabrication basics.
Technical Skills:
Reading blueprints, interpreting welding symbols, and understanding metallurgy.
In this course, students will:
Industry standard safety procedures and material handling
Students will gain experience with GMAW (MIG), SMAW (Stick), and GTAW (TIG) welding, along with oxy-fuel cutting.
Advanced Welding
Prerequisite: Intro to Welding Required
This course is taught 100% in-person and in hands-on methods.
Students will take what they learned in Intro to Welding and build upon it.
They will continue to perfect their technique in both Mig, Tig, and Stick. Oxy-fuel cutting process and techniques will continue to be improved.
There is a opportunity to begin to learn to weld more advanced metals
In this course, students will:
Gain proficiency in advanced welding techniques
Advanced fabrication techniques
Advanced material fabricating
